ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP

When Fr. Alfaro got to the parish almost 5 years ago, our parish was able to start a Middle School Youth Group the following spring. This youth group has gone strong for the last 4 years averaging 15 to 20 young people every Wednesday evening. However, Father Alfaro is now in need of adult volunteers to keep the youth group going. He can't do it without your assistance. Pray to the Holy Spirit and ask the Lord if he is calling you to assist in such an important task for our young people. Please call the Parish Office (305) 871-5780.

Because of you we are educating future generations!

We need you! God has given us so much and God’s generosity to us, especially the gift of His Only Son, inspires us to be generous and to share with others from the bounty of God’s gifts we have received. Your generous support of the ABCD makes you an instrument of God’s mercy and peace, and you become the answer to someone’s prayer. Through the ABCD, as one faith community, we feed the hungry, cloth the poor, and care for the sick and dying. As one Church, we nourish and educate our children, assist our poor parishes and schools, and shelter the homeless. As Catholics, we defend and respect the dignity of all human life and work to eliminate prejudice, and promote justice. You make all this possible. Thank you to all who have already generously responded to this year’s ABCD. Your support strengthens the ministries that serve our Archdiocese and allow the Church to form new disciples. As Scriptures remind us, Give and it shall be given to you. If you have yet to respond to this year’s ABCD, we need you! Please join us by making a gift now- even a small gift can make a big difference. You can obtain a pledge envelope from the parish office or you can make a gift online at www.isupportabcd.org. Thank you and God bless you!

“Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed…He told them, ‘Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose, have I come.’” - Mark 1:35, 3

In today’s Gospel reading we see a perfect example of stewardship. Jesus gives His time to do all that God wishes - healing the sick and preaching. But before He begins, Jesus makes time to be alone with God in prayer. It is through prayer, and spending time with God, that we build our relationship with Him and find the strength to do what He wishes us to do. Find time every day to be with God.

On Sunday Feb. 11th, we will be passing out a book called "Rediscover Jesus" by Matthew Kelly. This book is a series of 40 short meditations which will assist us to get reacquainted with Jesus during our Lenten journey.

STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA COMING TO BLESSED TRINITY A few generous and faithful parishioners donated a statue of Our Lady of Fatima to our parish during the Jubilee of Fatima that took place last year. The long-awaited statue will be on display and will be blessed at the 10:30 am and 12:30 pm Masses on Sunday February 11th (World Day of Prayer for the sick and feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes). Please join us!
