Have You Anything to Eat? We long to be fed at the table of the Lord. We hunger to eat and drink his Blood and Body. If we can go to the church this day – what a joy! If we can’t, we can still follow the gospel injunction: Look and touch. We can look for Jesus everywhere – because that is where he is. We can still touch Jesus in the persons who are near – because that is also where he is.
• How will I look for and see Jesus every day?
• How will I touch Jesus, either really or virtually, in touching another?
• How will I do these mercy works: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty?
Dive Deep - No more Communion blessings. What now? A January instruction by Bishop Paprocki instituted no more communion blessings across the diocese. Dive Deep tells you what happens now when someone approaches the priest with
their arms crossed and why hearing these certain words, “Receive Christ in your heart,” will make a big impact.

On behalf of all those in attendance on April 11th, we would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful spiritual fathers who led the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass and Devotions.
We thank Father Paul Bonk for hosting at Immaculate Conception. We also thank Father Piotr S. Kosk of St. Paul’s Parish in Highland for con-celebrating the Mass. In addition, we
extend thanks to Deacon Dave Bohnenstiel for helping both priests and those in attendance to celebrate the Mass reverently.
It was a beautiful and grace-filled day that will remain in our hearts!
During these difficult times, Divine Mercy is most needed. All of us who attended are grateful to Our Most Merciful Lord for His abundant grace and blessings. We are also
grateful for our incredible priests and deacon who agreed to make the Mass and Devotions possible. We give you our love and prayers dearest spiritual fathers!
Jesus, I trust in You!
Jezu, ufam Tobie!
THANK YOU!!! We recently finished our 4th successful 40 Days for Life campaign at the facility in Granite City. It was
successful because 16 babies were saved! And because all of the prayer hours were covered for 40 straight days for 12
hours a day in a prayerful and peaceful manner! God is bringing compassion and hope to the women and men that
are desperate and afraid…You have responded to God’s call to be His hands and feet on the sidewalk in
Granite City. THANK YOU! Here are some of the results and fruits of our Spring
2021 campaign:
1. 16 babies were saved! 43 babies total in all
four campaigns!
2. 480 hours of prayer were covered, 12 hours a day for
40 days.
3. 1,500 people came to pray. (300 more than the first
two campaigns!)
4. 34 days were adopted with over 43 organizations
taking part in praying at the abortion facility over the course of these 40 days.
5. Ecumenical support is growing over previous
campaigns.
6. A prayer partner has applied and been approved for
sidewalk advocate training.
Two first-time prayer partners have committed to praying at the abortion facility every Thursday with a
sidewalk counsellor.
Abortion is still the preeminent issue of our time. The out-reach for women and families in crisis remains every day
that the Hope facility is open. Are you feeling a call to continue participating in the pro-life ministry? Whether you
feel a call to be on the frontlines as a prayer partner, a sidewalk counselor, or wish to offer special prayer
intentions for the ministry, we welcome all who are called. Please send an email to [email protected] if you
would like to help. Let us put love where there is no love. Let us continue to
let the light of Christ shine in this place! Thanks again to everyone!
Next weekend we will take a collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal. Today, over 40% of dioceses in the United States and its
territories are unable to fund the essential pastoral work their communities need. Your support of this appeal helps them meet these
faith formation and sacramental needs. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this appeal. More information can be found
at www.usccb.org/home-missions.
STG PSR will hold its final class on 4/21 with a closing class
mass at 6:30pm. All families and parishioners are welcome to
join us! We will have a special treat for everyone after the mass.
