Attention CLC Youth If you are participating in the ISMA program at your school this year, and would be interested in presenting your piece/pieces
as part of our Sunday worship services, please see or contact Mr. Bartusch ([email protected]) to schedule a Sunday morning date. We’d love to have you share your musical gifts with the congregation!
CLC Retreat
For many years we've treasured a time apart as a congregation in our annual retreat - a time to dig into scripture, tell our stories of faith, take time for prayer, and know one another better. This year we did not have anyone willing to take leadership for a retreat - but are hopeful to create a modified retreat experience here at CLC this Spring. We hope to gather folks who have love and energy for this sort of thing, so that together we can conspire on a day of retreat and growth in faith. If this is you, please talk to/email Pastor Erica and we will find a time for the group to meet!
Attention Music Lovers & Musicians:
The Adult Handbell Choir is in great need of 2 – 3 ringers to ring with the ensemble. The ability to read
music is helpful but not required.
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in the Music Room.
Please speak with or contact Brian Bartusch ([email protected]) if you’re interested.

CLC Trivia Night has been rescheduled! Please note the new date and time!
Sunday, February 24th, CLC Activities Center, 4:00pm - 8:00pm Doors open at 4:00pm, Trivia begins at 4:30pm
PRICES Admission: $10.00 Table Package: $100.00 (includes 8 RSVP Tickets, 10 Mulligans)
It’s time for the CLC Youth Ministry’s annual Trivia Night fundraiser! We’re so excited to get everyone together for an exciting battle of the minds! Complimentary pizza, salad, and snacks will be served. This year, all proceeds from Trivia Night will go towards our missions trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan!
FAQs How can I buy a table for Trivia Night? Bring payment ($100.00) and your e-mail address to the Church Office. A Table Package guarantees you a table (8 RSVP tickets) for your group and 10 mulligans for your team! This is a great option for large groups that could get divided at the door! You will be able to pick-up a special package just for your table the week of Trivia Night, which includes 8 RSVP tickets for your group and other goodies!
Can I still come if I don't buy a table or have an RSVP ticket? Of course! Admission is only $10.00! You will be seated by event volunteers as they arrive. If you paying at the door, be sure to enter together as a group. We will do our best to seat you all together.
When should I arrive? We will begin seating people when doors open at 4:00pm. Everyone should arrive by 4:25pm. We will start the first round at 4:30pm sharp, so if you arrive late, you may miss questions and lose out on some points! We will continue seating people as they arrive.
What's for dinner? Pizza, salad, and drinks! All tables come with complimentary treats as well!

This spring we are “resurrecting” the
End-of-Life
series of speakers that we presented three years ago. There will be a few changes, the most important of which is that we will be using our Sunday morning Faith Formation Hour.
Fred Niedner will open the series on March 3, talking about our Christian perspective on death. Barb Crumpacker Niedner will offer suggestions about how to have these difficult but important conversations with our loved ones.
The following two weeks, March 10 and 17, John Hughes and Keith Wolak will discuss some of the legal issues that are dealt with at the end of life.
The series continues through March and into April, with Gail Mannington talking about heart health, and our Parish Nurse Juli Verkler discussing organ donation. Gretchen Seidler-Gibbs, from VNA Hospice, will talk about Hospice resources and grieving. Martin Moeller will discuss funeral home services. Our own pastors will bring the series to a close just before Easter, with information about funeral services at Christ Lutheran and our own Memorial Garden.
For suggestions, questions, and more information, contact Sue McPherson, 771-4328, [email protected] .
Giovanni DePasquale ~ Confirmation service project
My Confirmation project is helping serve at the Humane Indiana Wildlife Organization in Valparaiso. Humane Indiana Wildlife admits injured or orphaned animals and cares for them until they are ready to be returned to their
natural habitat. Last year, Humane Indiana Wildlife admitted more than 1,700 animals and released 867! Humane Indiana Wildlife also provides learning opportunities at their education center for the community. I will be
collecting items until Friday, March 1.
