From the Pastor

Thank you to our men for all of their hard work this past Sunday

as they hosted our annual Pancake Breakfast! There is a lot of

work that goes into the set-up, cooking, hosting, and clean up.

It was a great morning and a large crowd!

As we face a new school year and more opportunities to serve

the Lord, I hope you will remember we do not face these

challenges alone. God's call may come at inopportune times,

but he never leaves his servant alone. We have the promise of

God's presence.

Jeremiah 1:8 “Do not be afraid of them, For I am with you to deliver

you,” declares the Lord.

Before Jeremiah could experience God's presence, he had to go where God sent

him, speak what God told him, and reject fear. God doesn’t want us when we feel

we are ready, because we won’t lean on Him. When we know we are not ready,

we must remember He is! His presence gives us the strength to stand in the face

of every assault.

We want to make sure we welcome Bobby & Alison Broughton,

Delaney Bennett and Elisabeth Johnson to our fellowship. We know you will

enjoy serving with them and knowing them better.

Laura Trubenstein - praying that the remicade treatment will work

and she won’t have to have surgery

Pat Julien - has swollen glands & eardrum; also severe headaches

Mackenzie Denman - (JD & Megan’s 9yr. old daughter) will have

tonsils & adenoids removed today

John Epperson - having 2nd

surgery on one toe Friday, Aug. 24

Sandy Buschardt – will see neurologist August 29 in Ft. Worth for

treatment of the aneurysm

Mary Bailey - no blockages found in her heart cath; still having

pain in legs & arm

Jeff Box - had an infected cyst removed yesterday

Bob Coker - (Mary Bailey’s brother-in-law) was in ER Monday with high

blood pressure; was sent home but fell twice on the way

Steve Dennis - (nephew of Charles Dennis) recovering from surgery to

have a heart valve replaced last Friday

Sympathy to Mary Rauch & Family for the unexpected loss of her

nephew Rickey Ketron
