Clothing Needs For Soup KitchenAs the weather changes from summer to fall/winter so do the clothing needs of those who come to the Soup Kitchen at St. George's Church.  Again we are asking you to donate any clothing for men and women that you no longer have use for to help fill this need; a box is again in the entryway for this purpose.  The summer clothing that was given from Bedford Baptist (approximately 500 articles) was gratefully received and very much appreciated - "I needed clothes and you clothed me" (Matt. 25:36a).

Sunday Prayer Link

The approaching month of December can be a particularly lonely and difficult time when in prison. Please pray for our Baptist chaplains who are ministering in Atlantic Canada’s correctional system – Rev. Hugh Kirkegaard, Regional Chaplain; Rev. Phil Ferris (Westmorland Institution), Rev. Pauline Coffin (Nova Institution for Women) and Rev. Wilma Janzen (Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility).

Our Prayer InitiativeWe are invited to join together in prayer for one another. As we move through our fellowship alphabetically, look for your name to appear. If it doesn't, please let Peter know, for we wish to be in prayer for YOU. This week, please be in prayer for: Zephaniah, Florence, Emma, Donna, Marvin, & Diana Otuki, Karen Ouellet & Dino, Sergio, & Gabriel Amaral, and Adam Penny & Amy Nickerson.

Birthday GreetingsBest wishes are extended to Gillianne McCully who is celebrating her 83rd birthday on November 27th.

Anniversary CongratulationsCongratulations to Bill & Reta Misener who are celebrating 55 years of marriage on November 16th.

Bulletin MemorialToday’s bulletin has been donated in loving memory of Iris Hubley, sadly missed by husband Willard and children Gail, Dale, & Larry.

Baby MatthewIt is with deep, deep sadness and sorrow that I tell you Baby Matthew Rouse died last Tuesday. He was a blessing and gift of love for 5 and one-half months, touching many others in his brief life - and especially those of his parents, Michelle and Colin.

Our comfort is well expressed in Matthew's grandfather's words, to the effect, that it's a win-win situation. If Matthew was healed and was whole - that is a win. And if Matthew goes to heaven - well, that is a win too.

It is now for those left behind that we pray for God's strength and comfort.

Pastor BobChristmas Party; Senors and Almost SeniorsTime again for our annual get-together to begin the celebration of our Saviour's birth! Come for good fun, fellowship, carol singing, and good food. Dinner this year will feature Chinese cuisine (from Yan's Restaurant, Lr. Sackville). Cost is $15.00 per person.

We will be joined this year by seniors from Faith Baptist in Lower Sackville. Please sign-up on the sheet in the foyer.

Beacon House Christmas Project

Page 7: Sunday November 21 2010 Bulletin (iPaper)

Bedford Baptist has been asked to collect 400 boxes of pancake mix to help supply the needs for Beacon House this Christmas season. We are late getting this notice out this year so we only have a short amount of time to fulfill our mandate as our donation should be completed no later than December 3rd, 2010 to accommodate ordering any shortfalls.

Refugee UpdateIn 2007 at our Annual Business Meeting, Bedford Baptist Church agreed to provide paper refugee sponsorship for Facil Solomon Yohanes. This week our church missions chair, Bob Archibald, received an e-mail from immigration stating that Facil will arrive on Tuesday, November 30th. This is an answer to prayer as Facil has been fearful in the refugee camp. Facil is a 25-year-old Ethiopian who has been living in the Sudanese refugee camp for approximately the past 18 years.

Hopeful Gifts For Change—CBM Gift Catalogue 2010-2011Canadian Baptist Ministries is providing us with an opportunity to make a difference and to help those less fortunate than ourselves. There is a display in our foyer advertising the CBM Gift Catalogue. In this catalogue are many options where with a donation as low as $20.00 you can make a major difference in the quality of someone’s life. Please don’t hesitate to grab one of these catalogues to see what an impact your contribution could make.

Prayer RequestPlease be in prayer for our Partner In Mission Deann Carter as she awaits an appointment with a surgeon for treatment of acute carpal tunnel syndrome of both wrists/hands. She is hoping that she won't have to wait too long as this condition can be very painful, often causing weakness in the hands that makes it hard to carry out day-to-day activities.
