Introduction to the Liturgy of the Word Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

In the Gospel we hear today, Jesus invites his disciples to take a break and rest a while. He invites us to do the same today. As we rest our minds and bodies, let us listen to God’s word. Jeremiah tells his people that one day a king and shepherd will come to bring justice to the land. Paul writes that in Christ walls are broken down and peace established among all peoples. Jesus laments the directionless people massed on the shore. And so he began to teach. May we be eager learners. Introducción a la Liturgia de la Palabra Decimosexto Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario En el Evangelio que escuchamos hoy Jesús invita a sus discípulos a descansar un poco junto a él. Nos invita a nosotros a hacer lo mismo hoy. Démosle un descanso a nuestra mente y a nuestro cuerpo para escuchar la palabra de Dios. Jeremías le dice a su pueblo que un día vendrá un rey y pastor, y traerá la justicia a la tierra. Pablo escribe que en Cristo se derriban las barreras y se establece la paz para to-dos los pueblos. Missionary Cooperative Appeal

This weekened our parish will Be participating in the Missionary Co-operative Appeal. We will learn about a mission “virtually “who will share with yes they are courageous evangelization efforts on behalf of the Catholic Church and give us an opportunity to support their work in the field.

Donations by check should be made payable to the parish. All funds collected throughout the Diocese will be equally divided among the 49 missionary organizations.

The OLL school community wants you to have a BALL this summer! After Mass, pick up a special summer gift to remind you that Our Lady of Lourdes School exists to provide quality Catholic education to students in the Colusa/Williams/Arbuckle areas.

They will be distributed by OLL parents who can answer any ques-tions you may have. The OLL School is accepting applications for Preschool-Grade 8 for the 2021-2022 school year.
