FOR REFLECTION What can we take into our week from today’s readings? Perhaps first, a reminder that the world’s resources are for the world, and not for a chosen few. That we all have a responsibility for the health of all God’s people. That we can all contribute in some way to the preservation of the world’s resources and to the care of those who are most vulnerable. We can remember too that we are one family in God through our Christian baptism which binds us together in Christ.

Apostleship of the Sea Stella Maris

Those that go down to the sea in ships risk their lives so we can enjoy life’s luxuries. Seafarers are not a number. They are not a commodity. They are an im-portant part of Australia competing in the global market. They are also a part of our global parish.

Care is provided on a voluntary basis to seafarers and their families. Copies of a pastoral letter are available from the foyer.

A Leaving Collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend, 25/26th July.
