Honor A Loved One! Any family member or beloved friend can be honored. They do not have to be a current or former member of the parish to be recognized. The Tree of Life provides a lasting legacy for those who have died or as a tribute to all members of your family. You may want to consider enrolling your loved one during the season of Lent as a way of sacrificing for the parish. If you enroll someone by April 1, we can guarantee that your leaf will be on the display by Easter.

GOOD FRIDAY VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Plaza Greeters 6 Volunteers needed for each shift.

Volunteer greeters are based in the tent on the plaza at the top of the steps. They pass out prayer pamphlets and votive candles. Greeters also provide information to pilgrims regarding locations for confessions, times of the services in the church, restaurant locations, morning hospitality (donuts), Grab ‘n Go lunch and the Fish Fry. Visitors can place their candle outside or they can take the candle inside the church and place it on the communion rail.
Church Candle Coordinators 6 Volunteers needed for each shift.
Shifts: Midnight-3:00 a.m. 3:00-6:00 a.m. 6:00-9:00 a.m. 9:00-Noon Noon-3:00 p.m. 3:00-6:00 p.m. 6:00-9:00 p.m. 9:00-Midnight
Volunteers are stationed in the church to direct the visitors to place their votive candles on the communion rail. Periodically our volunteers move them to the candle racks in the sanctuary. This year the volunteers will also wipe the cross after each visitor touches or kisses it. The volunteer closest to the side entrance of the church will also point out to the visitors the small bottles of holy water that will be available. Donation box will be available by the candles and by the holy water so that the volunteers do not have to handle any money. Once again we are hoping to maintain a sacred silence in the church.
Fish Fry Volunteers 6 Volunteers needed for each shift.
Shifts: 2:30-5:30 p.m. 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Ann & Steve Nicholas and Linda & Rich Bova have agreed to coordinate the Fish Fry this year. Volunteers will assist in serving the food and drinks, busing tables, and general cleanup.
Set-Up Volunteers Tuesday, April 16, 6:00-8:30 p.m. 15 Volunteers are needed!
Volunteers are needed to move boxes, candle racks, tables & chairs and supplies from the rectory, the garage and parish center and help set them up in the tent in the plaza and in the church. If we have 15 volunteers, the work will be finished much sooner. Please, please, please… if you are able to do the physical labor required for this evening, we really need your help!
Take-Down Volunteers Saturday, April 20, 10:00 a.m.- Noon 15 Volunteers are needed!
Volunteers are needed on Saturday morning to remove the candles, the candle racks and all the tables from the church, the tents in the plaza area as well as removing all leftover boxes or pamphlets from the pews and help set things in place for our Easter services.
