A quintessential Washington, DC holiday tradition, The Nutcracker Tea Party is filled with family fun and seasonal merriment. The Nutcracker Tea Party includes a ticket to The Nutcracker at Warner Theatre as well as an elegant tea party with an array of teas, sandwiches, and scones. Children will delight in the “Land of Sweets” featuring a candy bar and other special treats. Guests will receive the rare opportunity to pose for photographs with many of The Washington Ballet’s professional dancers in full Nutcracker costume.

This celebrated production is set in historic 1882 Georgetown with George Washington as the heroic Nutcracker, King George III as the villainous Rat King, and other historical figures. Join us again with family and friends or start a new holiday tradition with your loved ones.

Performed at the historic Warner Theater and set to Tchaikovsky’s magical score, this celebrated classic comes to life with intricate, stunning set designs, original period costumes and over 100 dancers including students and trainees from The Washington School of Ballet.

Proceeds from The Nutcracker Tea Party support the education and community engagement programs of The Washington School of Ballet, celebrating it’s 75th anniversary this year. The Washington Ballet dedicates more than $1.4 million annually to outreach and education programs. Funds raised from the event allow TWSB to award over $500,000 annually in merit and need based scholarships.
