It was the feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem; it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gath-ered round him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

The Men’s Society is having their last Pancake Breakfast before our summer break today. We are having our usual fare plus made to or-der omelets, basterma and eggs and Shepard’s pie. Funds raised by the Free Will Offerings will go to support the Men’s Society and Komitas Choir’s audio/visual project for the Sanctuary. Please come and join us and give generously. The Baku and Sumgait Massacres

Come hear an eyewitness account as told by Anna Astvatsaturian Tur-cotte, author of the book, Nowhere: A Story of Exile* which follows the dia-ries of the young Anya whose family was targeted in Baku, Azerbaijan for being guilty of one thing: their Armeni-an roots. Hear how Anna chronicles her family’s persecution, exit from Azerbaijan, and subsequent arrival in-to Armenia where challenges contin-ued to meet her family.

WOMEN’S GUILD NEWS

Evening Bake –On Monday, June 10, there will be a Cheoreg bake at 6:00 pm. This is a great time to come and join the fun for those of you who can-not make the daytime bake sessions. Grape Leaves Needed for Sarma—June is the perfect time to pick grape leaves. Your donations will be greatly appreciated. Please prepare and freeze the leaves according to the WG Cookbook. Moms and Manoogs The past several months have been very busy. Our manoogs are growing up and most are in preschool. We took advantage of holiday breaks though, for play dates and roller-skating. Summer is right around the corner and we plan on resuming our meet up times more frequently. Local parks, the zoo and picnics are just a few outings to look forward to. If you have little ones and love having fun, then please join us. We are very flexible on days and from 10-noon.
