COLMCILLE KELLS CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION GIRLEY SUNDAY 28th JUNE 2020 Priest on Duty: Fr John – Phone: 046/9240213 & 046/9240842 RETURN TO THE PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF MASS AND THE SACRAMENTS GUIDELINES FROM THE BISHOPS To offset the reduction in numbers attending Masses, we are bringing in extra Masses. Starting from Monday June 29th the daily Mass times will be as follows:- KELLS MONDAY - FRIDAY: 9.30am & 7pm SATURDAY: 10.00am GIRLEY FRIDAY: 7.00pm From the weekend of 4/5th July the weekend Masses will be as follows:- KELLS: SAT - 6.30pm VIGIL; SUNDAY - 9am; 11am; 12.15pm GIRLEY: SUNDAY - 10am As our Bishops have already told us, the dispensation from the Sunday ‘obligation’ is extended and many parishioners may wish to participate in Mass on a week day rather than a weekend. PROCEDURE: Enter churches by main front doors only and sanitise hands. Follow directions of stewards. 3 people per seat (2 in Girley) except for family units. When coming to Holy Communion observe 2 metre distancing. Ministers will wear masks. Communion in the hand only. Collections will not be taken up at the Offertory. Instead parishioners may place their envelopes and plate offerings in the boxes provided as they enter or leave the church. If there is an overflow of people coming to Mass the loudspeakers outside Kells church will be turned on and Eucharist Ministers will give out Holy Communion on the steps of the church. (Loudspeakers have been ordered for Girley church). Please bring missalettes home with you. After Mass, please leave through the middle side doors and main front doors. Hand sanitisers at each door.

RELICS OF ST. OLIVER PLUNKETT The Knights of St. Columbanus have organised the visit of

St. Oliver Plunkett’s relics to Kells. They will be in St. Colmcille’s Church during the 6.30pm Vigil Mass on Saturday 4th July with

veneration afterwards.

Meath Alzheimer Cafés are now being held online. The next virtual café will take place at 11am on Wed July 1st. Speaker Dr. Orla Dolan, Snr Occupational Therapist, HSE will give a talk on ‘Purposeful and Meaningful Activities for individuals with Dementia’. All families/carers and loved ones living with Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia are welcome to join us.
