The Collect for the 14th Sunday after Trinity Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way into your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

We are now selling copies of Hazel Brown's book of poems 'A bit more elastic' for £4.50 which you can find alongside Neil's cake stall. TIME FOR TEA Friday 7 September 2.30 to 4.30pm Methodist Church David Stoves will be talking about his remarkable recovery from illness recently. A friendly occasion with tea and cakes, all served to your table. Do come along; everyone welcome! 2nd SUNDAY LUNCH Sunday 9 September at 12.30pm Parish Church Hall If you would be having lunch on your own, join us for company and roast dinner. Cost £5. WHOLLY BEADERS Wednesday 5 September 7.30pm Reeves Room, Parish Hall Newcomers are always welcome to come along and learn a new skill and to have a lovely evening of creativity and friendly chat. If you knit or crochet one a week that would be 16 more blessings. Please keep or start knitting or crocheting; if you would like to do stars they are most welcome as well. Angel patterns are available from the Parish Office (labels will be available in December). Thank you for participating in this way to bless our Community.

MEN’S BREAKFAST Saturday 29 Sept 8 to 9.30am Leatherhead Methodist Church The next Men’s Breakfast will be held at Leatherhead Methodist Church on Saturday 29th September (a week later than usual) from 8 to 9.30am. The speaker will be the newly inducted minister for LMC and the URC in Epsom Road, the Rev. Jan Hofmeyr. He will be telling us about how he came to Leatherhead from South Africa and something of his background as a Methodist minister. We look forward to welcoming Jan and all men from the local churches to a tasty breakfast at LMC.
