PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE: It’s August and time to start spreading the word about our next class which will begin on September 14

th, a few short

weeks away. Our classes are very im-portant to the Club because of the poten-tial for adding to our Club membership. Soon, the flyers advertising the class will be ready. Then, we need your help. We will advertise on social media and put ads in the papers, but the best way to get the word out is by “word of mouth”. Ask your neighbors, friends, the clerk at the store where you shop, members of your church, your gym, hobby group or any organiza-tion you belong to. Do you go anywhere with a bulletin board where one of our fly-ers could be posted? Can you post a flyer somewhere in the community where you live? Does your community have a news-letter we could advertise in? We will also have cards that you can pass out advertis-ing our class. If I’ve missed anything, let me know. Start talking about the class now. Classes will start on September 14

th from 7:00 to

9:00. Singles, couples, and families with children 3

rd grade and older are welcome.

You can join any time during the first three weeks. We will begin the class down-stairs in the Canyon Lake City Hall. The first week is free. After that we are asking for a weekly $5.00 donation. See you in a square!

SIGN UP TO HELP WITH HOSPITALITY: Do you like having snacks and drinks at the Wednesday Work-shop? Would you like to see the Twirlers continue to have their monthly dances at the Lodge? This could all end if we don’t get volun-teers to help with Hospitality. The Hospitality team would like a break!! So no one is stuck with helping all the time (unless you want to), we are asking Club members to volun-teer to help. (Guys, that means you too.) What would you have to do? On Wednesday, come a little early to help set up—stay a little after to help clean up. If we get enough vol-unteers you would only have to help once a month or even less. At the Sunday dances you would help set up, help with clean up, and help serve. You get to dance in be-tween. And, it wouldn’t have to be every month. See Jackie and get your name on the list of volunteers. I really like those snacks on Wednesday and I like dancing in the Lodge. I’d hate to see it end.
