There are two major parts to the Solarcraftwater heating system by State: the solar collec-tor panels and the hot water storage tank.Energy from the sun is absorbed by the Solarcollector panels. The collected heat istrans-ferred to a fluid that is pumped to and from thestorage tank. The fluid heats the water in thetank. When the sun is covered by denseclouds, a standby electric heating elementheats the water.

1 Solar collector panels gather the Sun's energy andconvert it to heat.2 The heat is transferred to disti lled water which actsas a heat transfer fluid. This fluid is pumped to fourheat-exchange chambers inside the tank.3 The chambers hold the solar heated disti lled water,transferring i ts heat to the potable water in the stor-age tank.
