    TECHNICAL REGULATIONS .

    USA Cycling Permit: # 2019 - 927

    USA Cycling & USA CRITS Regulations will be enforced for all Categories (USA Cycling Rules are available

    at www.usacycling.org and USA CRITS Race Format and Rules are available at www.usacrits.com)

    Valid USA Cycling or UCI International licenses are required.

    Race Format:

    a. Criterium

    All riders in amateur categories will receive race bib numbers at onsite registration.

    All USA CRITS Pro Women & Men will receive race bib numbers and transponders at onsite registration.

    A race license will be held as transponder deposit until transponder is returned after event. Any rider

    not returning a transponder will be billed for transponder accordingly.

    *Any changes in schedule due to weather delays or the combining of fields will be determined by the

    Race Director and Chief Referee.

    The criterium course will be closed outside of the designated practice/race times as outlined in the

    schedule. Pre event warm ups are not allowed on race course.

    RESULTS and POSTING .

    Race Day – All race results will be posted behind the judges staging in the Start/Finish Area.

    Post Race – All race results will be submitted to USA Cycling, uploaded to www.usacrits.com and

    distributed to local, regional and national media outlets.

    ANTI-DOPING .

    The USADA anti-doping regulations are entirely applicable to the event. Anti-doping may be conducted

    by the USADA. Additional information will be supplied to riders and team managers on the day of the

    event.

    Junior Category/Age Groups will have staggered starts. All 2nd race entry fees are $20 with exception of USA CRITS Pro Races. Project Hero race will be broken into fields for both Women & Men for Paracycles and Recumbents. *The following places qualify for the USA CRITS Amateur Finals presented by Destination El Paso: Cat 2/3 Men (40) Cat 4 Men (10) Masters 35+ (20) Masters 45+ (15) Masters 55+ (3) Cat 3 Women (3) Juniors 15-16, 17-18 (3). Juniors that qualify must be at least a Cat 4 racer. Amateur & Women racers will need to pick up a new bib number after the preliminary races are complete.     RACE PRIZE DISTRIBUTION .

    All awards and prize money, as well as all cash primes, for the Destination El Paso Criterium will be

    distributed 30 minutes following the finish of each race. Please bring photo ID, Racing License or Race

    Number to pick up prizes. All riders or in the case of Pro Team Managers will be required to sign for

    prizes awarded.

    AWARD CEREMONIES – POST RACE INTERVIEWS .

    AMATEUR RACE AWARD CEREMONIES: Race categories Junior 9-12, Junior 13-14, Junior 15-16, Junior

    17-18, Cat 3-4-5 Women, Cat 5 Men, Cat 4 Men, Cat 2-3 Men, Masters 35+, Master 45+, Master 55+ will

    have awards ceremonies for the top 3 finishers in each category. Ceremonies will be held adjacent to

    the Start/Finish area near Registration. PLEASE report to the awards area immediately after the finish of

    your race.

    USA CRITS PRO RACES - Post Race Interview: The winner of both the Women’s and Men’s races

    should report to the Start/Finish stage immediately following the finish of their races. Interview will be

    conducted my race announcer the Start/Finish line. PLEASE report there immediately.

    Following the Finish of the Pro Men’s Race: The top 3 finishers from both the Men’s and Women’s race

    should report to the Start/Finish stage immediately following the finish of the Pro Men’s race at

    approximately 9:25 pm. These riders must report to the Awards Ceremony wearing team uniforms of

    both shorts and jersey.

    Pro Women and Men’s Awards Ceremony: There will be a combined awards ceremony for top 3

    finisher in both the Pro women’s and men’s race. The awards ceremony for both men and women will

    be held directly after the finish of the men’s race.

    It is imperative that riders and managers respect our instructions above. Your assistance is highly

    important in order to meet our schedules and to give your team maximum exposure. Participation in the

    Awards Ceremony is required and must be completed before reporting for any Anti-Doping testing. Failure to comply can incur a penalty of up to 50% of prize earnings.
