WLM  10  Community,  Work  and  Mission    Our  Responsibilities    In  choosing  our  Work  Life  direction,  it  is  basically  a  question  of  Stewardship:  discovering  our  gifts,  talents,  personality  traits,  our  values,  and  our  desires;  then  making  a  free  will  choice  to  pursue  a  field  and  occupation  where  we  believe  we  can  make  an  impact  for  Christ  while  serving  the  common  good.    We  use  our  best  abilities  to  obtain  the  required  competencies,  both  technical,  those  associated  with  our  chosen  occupation,  and  non-‐technical,  those  associated  with  how  we  go  about  doing  our  work,  obtained  through  formal  and  informal  training,  then  enter  our  field  as  a  Christian  Professional.    In  this  life  decision,  we  have  our  responsibility  and  the  Lord  has  his.  Our  responsibility  is  to  intercede  before  God  to  ask  Him  to  lead  us  and  show  us  His  will,  the  taking  of  initiative,  working  hard,  seeking  out  counsel,  using  prudence  or  wisdom,  discerning,  reflecting,  being  teachable,  persevering  and  responding  to  the  Lord’s  grace;  coming  next:  God’s  responsibility.    To  take  more  responsibility  for  this  decision  contact  [email protected]
