Summer Term 2 2018
Jungle Boogie-Woogie
Dear Parents/Carers,
We hope you all enjoyed our Superhero topic as much as we did. The visits from our real life superheroes really were great experiences for all the children. What a fantastic amount of money the cake/bun sale raised! We have sent £175 to Guide Dogs. Thank you to all those who supported this.
Last half term of 2017/2018
Another busy half-term lies ahead. We will begin the transition into Reception (for those children who are starting in our Reception in September) We are sure the children will relish the opportunity to explore the Reception environment and enjoy meeting their new teacher (after 21 6 18) and also staying for a school dinner later in the term. (Details to follow)
Our next topic is called ’Jungle Boogie Woogie’. The children will be learning all about jungles and what lives there. As an introduction we are very excited to have some unusual animals visit us on Thursday 13th June. We have also planned lots of fun and practical activities for the children to take part in. (Please see the attached overview).
If you have any ‘jungle’ related objects or photos/mementos from zoo/wildlife park visits that your child wants to bring in and share with the other children just let us know.
We are always in need of ‘junk modelling’ materials in particular kitchen roll tubes, so would be most grateful if you would send them in, thanks.
