ARAB 496, 3 Credits Students in this course will participate in many important discussions focused on dominant cultural themes in today’s Arab and Islamic world. Using their own day- to-day experiences, students will engages in a series of cultural debates that will bring them to a closer understanding of Arab and Islamic societies. HOWTOAPPLY? SUMMER STUDY ABROAD   MOROCCO 2011 DEP ARTMENT OF NEAR EASTERN LANGUAG ES AND Intensive Arabic and Culture in Morocco is an eight -week program integrates two courses that foc us on st udyi ng Arabic and expl oring Ar ab and Is lamic culture.Theprogramisbasedinthemedieval cityof Fes(Fez),theculturaland intellectualcapitalofMorocco. Duri ng the fi rst seven weeks, st udents wi ll pr imaril y focus on compl eting Intermediate Arabic (second year).
