Read, play reading-related games and collect prizes along the way! Meet weekly for 1 hour over an 8 week period. This is a free program for children in grades 1 through 3. Registration begins Monday, June 1, 2009 and closes Friday, June 19, 2009; spaces are filled on a first come-first served basis.
Registered ProgramsRegistration begins at all location starting Monday, June 1, 2009, unless otherwise indicated. SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS AT THE LIBRARY TD Summer Reading Club: Agent 009! / TD Club de Lecture d’Été: Agent 009!The TD Summer Reading Club (SRC) promotes the fun of reading to kids and encourages them to visit their library during the summer months. When you register at your local Mississauga library, you will receive an exciting reading kit comprising of a club poster, a full-colour activity booklet and nine stickers that complete the poster in a fun way. You will also be encouraged to fill in the log book and share your favourites. We look for- ward to uncovering mysteries with you at your local Mississauga library! Free.
Drop-in ProgramsStorytimes feature stories, songs, and rhymes for children and their caregivers. Runs at various times for various age groups throughout the summer. Free. All Drop-In programs are filled on a first-come, first -served basis. Please be ad-vised that space is limited at all these programs
Ready, Set, Read! Reading WorkshopsKeep your children reading, learning (and loving it!) all sum-mer long. Each week a different comprehension strategy is taught by a certified teacher. Children then practice what they have learned using books geared to their individual reading levels. This free drop in program is targeted towards children in grades 1-3. Parents’/caregivers’ accompaniment is required. The workshops are co-sponsored by the Missis-
sauga Library System and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. For more information contact your local Library.
