Current students can try a new instrument by taking advantage of the Six, 30-minute Lesson Trial Program for only $199. Beginning Piano for Adults

Learn piano basics from your own home! If you have a piano or a keyboard and would like to learn the fundamentals of playing the instrument, this is a great time to start! This class will be four sessions, 60 minutes each, to introduce you to the joy of music, and the fun of playing the piano.

4 Weeks for $85 Sessions: July 9,16, 23, 30 Day/Time: Thursdays 5:00-6:00 pm Materials: Faber and Faber Adult Piano Adventures (either ebook version or physical book) Student would purchase in advance.

Studio Repertoire Classes Online The Weeks of June 8th - July 27th $175 for 8 weeks

Learn new repertoire by playing and listening to famous instrumental literature. Students will take turns performing sections of solos and discussing stylistic considerations.

Adults and intermediate - advanced students grade 6th and up.

Violin Solos with Matt Dickey Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm Advanced Violin Repertoire Learn how to approach the 6 unaccompanied Bach Sonatas and Partitas. Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm Intermediate Violin Technique Learn intermediate left and right hand techniques. Topics will include vibrato, shifting, spicatto, marcato and detache.

Harp with Erica Driscoll Wednesdays 10:30-11:30am At The Movies for Beginners Learn movie themes and Disney songs. Wednesdays 2:00-3:00pm Celtic, Folk and Historical for All Levels *Students must purchase the music Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm Orchestral Repertoire for Advanced Harpists

Suzuki Piano with Liz Hodges Wednesdays 10:00-11:00am Play your favorite songs from Suzuki Books 1- 4 Including Honey Bee, Lightly Row, Minuet in G, Little Waltz, and The Wild Rider.

Percussion with Jared SteerTuesdays 9:00-10:00am Learn the fundamentals of stick control and snare drumming technique, the fundamentals of drum set technique, and explore solo repertoire for both snare and drum set.

Summer Camps

*In Person or Online Alternative Session 1 1st - 3rd Grade August 3 - 7 9:00am - 12:00pm Tuition: $150 Is your child interested in music but you aren’t sure where to start? This camp is the perfect place to begin! Spend a week trying out an instrument from every family; winds, string, brass and percussion. Play musical games and prepare a final group performance that includes singing and movement. At the end of the week our skilled faculty will tell you where your child excelled and can aid you and your child in choosing an instrument or assessing readiness for private instruction.

Session 2 4th - 6th Grade August 10 - 14 9:00am - 12:00pm Tuition: $150 Do you already play an instrument but would like to explore others? Are you thinking about taking up an instrument for the first time in middle school? This camp is designed for 4th – 6th graders who are interested in broadening their musical horizons, building confidence in their musical abilities, and discovering their musical creativity. Throughout the week, your children will try multiple instruments, learn musical vocabulary, and participate in activities making music.

Summer Chamber Music Festival *Contingent Upon MCMS Reopening Mondays 6:00-8:00pm July - August Tuition: $225 Learn new repertoire while strengthening your chamber ensemble playing skills. Adults and students 6th grade and above. Ensembles include String Ensemble, Honors String Quartet, Adult Ensemble, Piano Ensemble, Flute Choir, or build your own ensemble! You need not attend all rehearsals to participate. All in person programs will follow state guidelines for safety.

NHYE Orchestra Festival

*Contingent Upon MCMS Reopening July 27 - 31 1:00pm- 4:00pm Final Concert Friday July 31 at 4pm *FREE for current NHYE students. $150 for non NHYE s=tudents New Students Welcome!

Learn symphonic repertoire and play music related activities! Students will rehearse Monday - Friday and present a final concert on Friday. For new students, this is a great way to see what NHYE Orchestras are all about! Email Ryan Striker at [email protected] to register now!

Summer Band

*Contingent Upon MCMS Reopening Alumni, Current Students, New Students, All Ages are Welcome! Whether you started playing your band instrument 2 years ago or 50 years ago, you are welcome to join our Summer Band, conducted by Ed Doyle! Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer! Start Date TBD 6:00-8:00pm $25 Registration fee All in person programs will follow state guidelines for safety.
