Acro Open Gym: (Ages 7+) Do you have an acro trick that you just can’t seem to nail yet? Are you wanting to improve and become more confident in your tumbling skills? Our open gym class will help to strengthen old skills and perfect new ones! Acting for the Dancer (Ages 12 and up) This workshop is designed to provide dancers with the tools to build on their character and storytelling skills as performers. In this workshop, dancers will be introduced to a variety of ideas and topics through active discussions and movement exercises while also using acting exercises such as improvisation and pantomime to bring out the fun, and exploration in their dancing. *(Highly recommended for all Delegates of Dance and Intensive Team Members!)
Beginner Adult Ballet: (Ages 18+) This class is a great mind-body workout while improving flexibility, balance and working on those long, lean dancer muscles. It’s time to work out YOU! Beginner Adult Tap: (Ages 18+)Tap is a popular style of American theatrical dance distinguished by percussive footwork that marks out precise rhythmic patterns on the floor. Dancers develop a keen sense of rhythm and balance. This class is geared towards adults who want to learn how to move their feet! Come ready to have a blast! Beginner Baton (Ages 5 and up) This class is designed for the young dancer who is 5+ years old and ready for a challenge! It combines the basics of dance with the hand-eye coordination of Baton Twirling. Fun and creativity still play a big part in this class but now the focus is on increasing coordination, body awareness and musicality while twirling a baton! Broadway Jazz Performance (Ages 9-11) Dancers will build upon their dance technique, performance skills, and knowledge of Broadway chorographers and styles through movement exercises. This fast paced workshop will focus on challenging choreography, audition practices, and stage presence leading you one step further to becoming a triple threat! *(Highly recommended for all Delegates of Dance and Intensive Team Members!)
Hippity Hop (Ages 3-6) Learn the basics of the hip hop dance style in this fun and interactive class. Dancers will explore rhythm and musicality through combinations and creating their own movement. Get ready to get funky and have fun dancing to your own beat!
Modern (Ages 10+) This open modern class will introduce and explore multiple modern dance techniques and concepts including: contraction and release, the use of one’s center to initiate movements, partner work, floor-work and a little Modern dance history. Modern dance is an expressive style of dance, often using storytelling or abstraction to express real-life emotions. Musical Theatre Minis (Ages 7-9) There’s No Business like Show Business! Build on your Jazz technique, vocabulary, and performance skills as we focus on dance styles used in your favorite Broadway shows. This class will allow each student to grow as a dancer and let out their inner Broadway star! *(Highly recommended for all Delegates of Dance and Intensive Team Members!)
Tai Chi: The Movement of Life is a unique program suitable for all ages blending the healing qualities of Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong, Meditation, Shaolin Kung Fu and Acupressure to fine tune and recharge your mental, physical and spiritual health. Zumba: Ditch the work out and join the PARTY! Zumba is for every body! This class takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party!
