Whether you’re a regular or visiting us for the first time, we’re very pleased to welcome you to Waterside, the arts centre with the local community at its heart. Here at Waterside, we love to see people of all ages come through our doors; whether it be for a baby art class, a tea dance, or a music gig, we like to think that we have a great variety of top quality entertainment all year round to keep you all busy and happy. We’re also very proud of our developing creative industries programme (www.creativeindustriestrafford.org) which is rapidly making us a hub of creativity in the north west, helping us to grow and support the local economy.

We always like to hear from you with your ideas about how you think we can improve things for you here at Waterside, so do please join us on Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you to Waterside Arts Centre in the very near future. There’s lots going on.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Rosie Scott, Arts Centre Manager

We’ve got lots of very flexible space at Waterside and we want to share it with you. We can seat 150 for dinner in the Robert Bolt Theatre, host a drinks reception in the tranquil surroundings of the Lauriston Gallery, or set up your rehearsal in one of our studio rooms. From wedding receptions and dinner dances, to business conferences and trade fairs, we can help you make your event a special one. Angela’s poems combine her childhood memories with family stories she discovered in the letters while Maria’s textile pieces and installations explore the narrative in the letters, combining extracts from them and lines from Angela’s poems with photographs, drawings and found objects.
