Join us in Spain for the Summer! The Department of World Languages & Cultures at IUPUI and
Cursos Internacionales of the University of Salamanca will sponsor a Summer Institute for teachers of
Spanish which provides intensive instruction for five weeks in Spanish grammar, linguistics, culture,
and literature. Courses also focus on current pedagogical insights into the teaching of these areas,
as well as the teaching of the four language skills.

APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Contact the Graduate Secretary, Mr. Phillip Garver by e-mail ([email protected]), or by phone, (317-278-3658) to request a “RESPONSE FORM”
2. Return the form, along with your non-refundable check for $500 AND a copy of your undergraduate transcripts (unless you are or have been an Indiana University student) by MARCH 26, 2010
3. If you are not already an admitted student in the Spanish M.A.T. Program, complete the online application for admission to the IUPUI Graduate Non-Degree Program and submit the application fee

Eligibility Requirements:B.A. degree demonstrating sufficient advanced coursework in Spanish to participate in the graduate Summer Institute
Duration:Five weeks: June 28-July 30, 2010

Credits
The Summer Institute offers eight (8) semester hours of Indiana University graduate credit upon satisfactory completion of the program.
Teaching Staff
The faculty consists of expert professors from the University of Salamanca.
Room & Board
Students may select three different options:
a) campus housing (student residences);
b) a family home in Salamanca;
c) on their own in an apartment.
Please let us know ahead of time so that we can help facilitate your housing preference.
Travel Arrangements
Students must make their own travel arrangements. NOTE: students are expected to attend an Orientation Meeting prior to the start of classes, on June 27, so you will need to arrange your travel to be in Salamanca by June 27th, 2010.
