Language Arts Book Order The Archdiocese has made plans to adopt a new language arts/reading series for the upcoming school year. Students in grades K-5 will be using myView published by Pearson. Students in grades 6-8 will be using myPerspectives, which is also published by Pearson. The book is a consumable text and workbook combined. When a new series is adopted, the publisher must confirm the initial number of texts purchased. Based on the number of initial texts purchased, our school receives free teacher resources for the life of the adoption. All books for this initial adoption must be purchased directly through the school. We certainly want our school to receive the appropriate resources. This process is just for the initial first year of the new adoption. The cost of the language arts/reading books for all grade levels is $30.00/each. Payment is due Monday, August 10. Please fill out the bottom portion of this form and return to school with payment: ******************************************************************* Family Name ________________________________________________________

Inside the bag, students should place five items that represent something that happens in the book. Each item should include one paragraph on a sheet of paper that explains the object’s meaning or role in the story. Fundraising With Scrip

Corpus Christi School uses a fundraising program known as “SCRIP”. The program runs all year long (May 1, 2020 – April 30, 2021) and requires no door-to-door sales by children or parents. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. You purchase gift cards from our office or online at face value, and your coordinator orders those cards from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a reduced price. The difference is an instant rebate for Corpus Christi. It’s really that simple! When you use Scrip gift cards at your favorite retailers, you’re fundraising while you shop and there is NO ADDITIONAL COST. Great Lakes Scrip Center offers more than 750 of the country’s largest retailers, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. Corpus Christi has even recruited many additional local merchants to participate and are always looking to add more. In addition to raising money for the school, you can benefit as well with our “profit-sharing” part of the program. After you earn $100 profit for the school, any further profit is split 50/50 between the school and YOU. Many families recruit grandparents, aunts and uncles to purchase Scrip for their families, therefore reaching their $100 goal sooner. Just by using Scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, some families earn over $1000 per year with the program and get to take home as much as $500 a year for themselves. It’s time to put your shopping dollars to work! Scrip order forms are available at the Parish Office, the School Office, outside the Scrip Office and online at school.corpuschristiparish.com (for downloading only) and can be dropped off at any time. Our list reflects the most popular retailers available to us in this area, but a full list of Great Lakes Scrip retailers is available on ShopWithScrip.com.

• Scrip can be ordered one of the following ways: • bring your order to the Scrip office • submit online with ShopWithScrip.com (CCS enrollment code BE6624DF4686) • email to [email protected] • leave a phone message at 342-5474 ext 1204 • drop off at the parish office, daycare, or school office

Many orders can be filled with inventory from our office, but additional orders are usually placed once a week. During the summer, orders are placed on Tuesdays by noon and will be available for pick up in the Scrip Office Thursdays 12pm-1pm. If you cannot come to the Scrip office during that time, orders will be left at the Parish Office for pick up. The Parish Office is open Mondays-Thursdays 8am-5pm. Scrip will also be for sale throughout the summer after 9:00 mass. During the school year, orders are placed on Mondays by 10 am and delivered on Wednesdays. Orders may also be sent in through your child’s folder at any time and will be filled from inventory as soon as possible when available. Please feel free to contact your Scrip Coordinator, Scarlett Moulder, in the Scrip office at 342-5474 ext. 1204 or email [email protected] for further information. ** Summer hours vary but orders can be placed at any time. Please contact the Scrip Coordinator to place an order.

Box Tops for Education

We raised a total of $565.40 in box tops!

This year was a little more challenging for meeting our goal. With the school year going to remote online classes we didn’t have the opportunity to get those pink box tops turned in. So this year can simply serve as a test run for future years when there will no longer be any pink

box tops to clip. However if you do have clipped pink box tops, I would love to get them! Remember some of them may expire as of June 1st. Those will not be any good when school starts in the fall. So please don’t try to hold onto them for next year.

Thank you to EVERYONE who participated in the Box Tops program!

One dime at a time really adds up. If you aren’t using the box tops app…..PLEASE download it and just start scanning your

receipts. You never know what products just may earn a submission! It is just as easy as the SHOPAROO app.

Let’s see how much we can raise over the summer! Keep scanning those receipts and let those

dimes and bonuses drop.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Christine Stanton
