Bug huntForage in the undergrowth of the tingle forest with this fully-guided fun, hands-on adventure. Learn about the vital roles our ‘bugs’ play in the forest ecosystem. Forest by Night Explore the tingle forest by torchlight with one of our expert guides who will show you how to find some of the elusive inhabitants that only emerge at night. End the journey with an adventure over the Tree Top walk under a blanket of stars. (1.5 hours) *Meet: Tree Top walk entry gates no later than 7.30pm.When: Wednesday 8 January, Wednesday 15 January, Wednesday 22 January 7.45–9.15pm.Cost: $31.50 adult, $15.50 child, $68.00 family (2A, 2C). Bibbulmun Track Ranger-Guided WalkEnjoy and identify some of the plants that grow in the tingle forest. Join our ranger on a guided walk through the tingle forest along part of the Bibbulmun Track that showcases some special plant features that only occur in this forest. Mount Frankland Ranger-Guided WalkHave you visited Mount Frankland recently? This site is part of the Walpole Wilderness and boasts the spectacular Wilderness Lookout and upgraded Caldyanup Walk Trail. William Bay Ranger-Guided WalkJoin our ranger on a guided walk along the Bibbulmun Track through to Mazzoletti Beach and enjoy amazing coastal sights. Learn about the coastal communities that make up this amazing landscape. Approx 1.5km return walk. Late Night FridaysIf you love the Tree top walk during the day then you will enjoy it even more on our late night opening on Friday during the holidays. The night sky is spectacular when viewed from the highest point of the walk – a great way to end your day!Bring an evening picnic to eat on the deck, call before 3pm and our guides will set you up a table on the jetty. (Limited numbers.)Meet: Tree top walk.When: Every Friday from 26 December to 26 January.Cost: $21 adult, $15.50 concession, $10.50 child, $52.50 family (2A, 2C). Kids TwilightDiscover the magic of the tingle forest at dusk and learn about our fascinating nocturnal animals and how you can help them survive into the future. Kids on the BeachThe beach is not just sand and water! Join in to discover what else makes up our amazing marine environment. Forest DetectivePick up your Forest Detective activity brochure from the ticket office when you visit the Tree Top walk. Follow the clues around the site to gather interesting facts about the Valley of the Giants and the critters that live here! FREE EVERY DAY.

Djinda Bina Cultural Pop up ShopBe immersed in local Minang culture and join local aboriginal artisans who will be showcasing their wares with a wide variety of arts and crafts available for viewing and purchase. When: Monday 13 January - Sunday 19 January. 10.00am – 4.00pm.

* Sturdy shoes required for all forest activities. Bring hat, water and sunscreen for all outside activities. Bring warm clothes and one torch per family for evening activities.

‘Plein Air’ workshops in the Walpole Wilderness areaThe French term plein air means ‘out of doors’ and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures outdoors.Take a ‘plein air’ outdoor painting workshop with local artist/curator Dr Elizabeth Edmonds (Petrichor Gallery) and be inspired by the Walpole Wilderness. You’ll learn some of the natural history of the area, principles of ‘plein air’ landscape watercolour painting, tools of the trade to paint in the field and complete a number of small art pieces exploring colour palette, composition and technique. A workshop for all ages and experience.

Workshop 1 – Micro DrawingMeet: Tree Top walk – Ancient Empire walk and/or Old carpark undercover area (weather-dependent).
