Year 7 students have been watching 'Our Day Out' leading to character development and creative w r i ting - one student produced some fantastic stop motion animation!
Year 10's have begun to develop their exam ski l ls; developing ways in which to r espond to exam questions based on the text ' Blue Stockings'. We have seen some great work so far which is a ver y encouraging star t!
Meanwhi le, in County Durham, Mrs Ber r iman has taken on a new challenge - 'Couch to 5K' - those who know me w i l l understand what a huge task this is - walking has been an effor t some days! I 'm cur rently at week 6 and due to r un for a total of 25 minutes this week so w ish me luck!
It's great to see that although apart, we are still a strong community!

Histor y
Many of us commemorated the 75th anniver sar y w ith social ly distanced str eet par ties, having afternoon tea and dressing up ourselves and our houses in r ed, white and blue. Str eets stood outside for the two minute si lence, and sang Vera Lynn?s ?We?ll meet again? together - made even more poignant this year so many famil ies being apar t.
75th Anniver sar y
I f you have any pictures of how you and your fami ly commemorated Victor y in Europe and the end of WW2 please can
you emai l them to [email protected]
We?d love to see what you did!
This year?s VE Day celebrations didn?t go qui te as planned, but they w i l l be r emembered in future by the way communities celebrated in lockdow n.
