Day Camp (Camps 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900) Our mission is simple. Day Camp provides children with unique experiences that help them grow, learn, have fun, and build lasting relationships. We strongly encourage creativity, critical thinking, character, communication, and collaboration while teaching the skills of developing self-esteem, confidence, and independence. A different adventure theme will be explored each week through art activities, crafts, music, storytelling, games, cooking, sports, and more. The Day Camp teacher’s priority is to provide a safe, warm, nurturing, and fun environment utilizing developmentally appropriate activities. Food, Field Trips, and More Children receive a Day Camp T-shirt along with daily morning and afternoon snacks. Field trips are included in the weekly camp fee. Children need to wear their camp T-shirt on all field trips and bring a sack lunch that includes a drink. You will receive a letter from the Summer Camp director providing more details about field trips. Some specialty Camps and all-Day Camps offer snacks during their camp. Please take note of which camps offer snacks and remind their instructor if your child has food allergies. Be sure to report any allergies when completing the Student Record forms (or if a change has occurred since the 2017-18 school year if your child is a St. Andrew’s School student). Jenni’s Treats on the Streets will visit the Day Camp every Friday. Jenni’s is a mobile ice cream truck that provides treats for $1, $2, and $3. She does have gluten and sugar-free options for $4. Tennis shoes are to be worn by all children. Children who are ages 3-5 should bring a change of clothing. On the first day of each week the PK3, PK4, and PK5 day camp students should bring a crib sheet to use during rest time. It will be sent home each Friday for washing.
