Summer at Ricks programming takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday– Friday

• Sunrise early care is available 7:30 am to 8:30 am for $9. Sunset aftercare is available from 3:30 pm-6:00 p.m. for $20 per day.

• Students enrolled at Ricks for the 2021-2022 school year are eligible for financial aid equivalent to their tuition aid. Financial aid eligibility may be changed or modified at the discretion of the Summer Programs Manager, Maggie Wright

• General Health Appraisals are required for all campers, age five and younger. Immunization records are required for all campers.

• If your family received Denver Preschool Program (DPP) funding for the 2020 - 2021 school year, you may apply your tuition credit toward camp fees. You will need to complete registration with the Summer Programs Manager, Maggie Wright.

Registration information• All campers must register online through RecTrac. Please visit our

website, www.du.edu/ricks/camp , to register.

• Before you can register for Summer at Ricks, you must complete the Summer at Ricks pre-registration (prerequisite) form. The Summer at Ricks pre-registration is a $0 fee registration that allows you to enter your child’s required medical, authorized release, emergency contact, and acknowledgment of risk information for Summer at Ricks 2021.

• The final tuition balance, including Sunrise early care, and Sunset after care, is due by May 1. If we have not received payment before May 1, we will charge the card on file. Full payment is required for all camps registered for after April 30.

• Registration for each camp will close a week before on Friday. For example, the deadline to sign up for the week of June 7 – 11 is June 4th.

• No refunds will be given after June 7th.

• Financial aid cannot be applied to programs run through outside vendors

Outdoor games, crafts, unique projects from upcoming camps, and water fun are on our schedule as we celebrate the beginning of summer – a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a whole lot of fun!

June 14 – 18: Secret Life of PetsPreschool-K, $360If you are obsessed with cats, dogs, snakes, birds, lizards, fish, hamsters, or anything else that squawks or squeaks, this is the camp for you! Campers will learn the basics of having and caring for a pet.

June 22 – 26: A Bug's LifePreschool-K, $360Explore the insect world through the books of Eric Carle. Join us for a week full of fantastic color, literature, and of course, BUGS. Each day will feature a book by Eric Carle as we celebrate his birthday week.

June 29-July 3: Everything DisneyPreschool-K, $360Do you dream of a Disney adventure? Join us as we explore everything Disney! From songs, crafts, characters, and more, this camp will put you in a Disney frame of mind.

July 6-10: Dig In Preschool-K, $360Being a farmer is fun! We’ll explore what it means to grow food sustainably in our garden in a way that benefits our neighbors, the land, and the quality of the food. Each day we’ll get our hands dirty working in the garden and exploring its many wonders.

July 12 - 17: S.T.E.A.M. AdventurePreschool-K, $360Use your imagination as you investigate S.T.E.A.M. Get your hand dirty while playing games, making crafts, and preforming science experiments. This camp will have you exploring the world of S.T.E.A.M. with fun, hands-on projects!

July 19 - 23: Ice Cream ShopPreschool-K, $360What is your favorite flavor of ice cream - chocolate, vanilla, cookie dough, or strawberry? How about toppings? Do you like gummy worms, sprinkles, hot fudge, or marshmallows? Put on your aprons and get out your spoons as we explore the science behind ice cream.

July 26 – 30: Under the Big TopPreschool-K, $360Imagine what happens when you combine the already wild acts of a circus with the imagination and fancy of Dr. Seuss! If I Ran Circus by Dr. Seuss will help us create our circus this week.

Aug. 3-7: Jurassic AdventurePreschool-K, $360Did you ever wonder what it would be like if dinosaurs were still alive? Come roar your way into some colossal fun as we step back in time to explore the "Jurassic World" and the incredible creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago!
