Welcome to the summer activities booklet. This booklet has been compiled through a partnership of agencies to bring together a wide range of activities for children and families during the summer school holidays. If you have any queries about this booklet or the project group please contact Keri Lister on 01922 654597. To speak to someone in your area in regards to the listed activities or any additional offers across Walsall please contact your community navigators named on page 3.

New offers for summer 2019:Outside the Box is a personal development programme for young people at low risk of sexual exploitation. The programme aims to increase awareness of what a respectful/abusive relationship is and equip them with the skills/strategies and knowledge to prevent possible sexual exploitation. Please contact the Early Help Hub on 0300 555 2866 option 1 to book your place.

Walsall’s Got Talent is an opportunity to showcase young people’s talent across Walsall. Heats will be available within each locality with a final show at the band stand Walsall Arboretum. There is no cost to enter. For more information please contact the centres.

The Early Help Hub is the first point of contact for both families and professionals in Walsall seeking advice and guidance. We identify a family’s needs and seek appropriate support to ensure all the needs of the family are met. The Early Help Hub provides a coordinated point of contact for all referrals to early help as well as providing advice and guidance. For more information please contact 0300 555 2866 option 1.

Super Wiggles is a free 6 week programme for 2-7 year olds. We help families to work towards a healthier lifestyle and also help children towards achieving their developmental milestones. For telephone referrals, queries or further information please call 01922 444044.

For schools:The Schools Early Help Keep In Touch Team is back! The KIT team is a small team of summer family support workers available to schools during the summer break, specifically for schools Early Help families that would benefit from additional support, or interventions during this time. Referrals are accepted for children, young people and families living in Walsall where school feels this would be of benefit whilst they are mostly unavailable over the summer holidays. If you are working in a school and would like to make a referral to KIT please contact the Early Help Hub on 0300 555 2866 option 1.
