Welcome to Darlington Arts Center! Music - Art - Dance - Drama

Visual Art IntensiveCelebrate great contemporary artists in this art intensive week. Explore different styles of the era, like pop art and surrealism, and use different media while creating a gallery of art to showcase for family and friends at 2:30 on Friday.Full Day Ages 5-14

August 20 - 24Around the World in 5 Days Adventure awaits as you crisscross the globe in this fun-filled excursion! Explore exotic cities. Navigate deserts. Roam dense jungles. Sail across oceans and scale mountaintops on this around-the-world journey of discovery! Embark on a cultural and language escapade of various civilizations through exciting projects in music, art, dance, and drama! Full day camp will have a performance at 2:30 on Friday. August 27 - August 30 Designing the Arts

Capture ideas and bring them to life as your unique creations. Learn how the arts translate ideas into tangible styles in everyday life! Design your own logo and brand. Apply it to t-shirts, clothing accessories, and products. Choreograph unique dance moves; develop new rhythms, sound effects, and more! 9 Month Program: September - MayAges: 5-6 Monday - Friday (1 to 5 days/week) 12:30-3:15 p.m. Morning kindergartners will continue their day of learning through arts-enriched activities and lessons. Through a curriculum developed by a certified teacher and arts activities with professional Teaching Artists, students will reinforce concepts taught in Kindergarten while expanding their creativity. Students may take the bus from Concord Elementary to Darlington to arrive for Lunch Bunch at 11:45 AM! $20/day.

Students will learn the fundamentals of music including rhythm, pitch and dynamics. YouthTang Soo Do Karate Ages: 4-7 Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15 p.m.Have fun and get some exercise in this fun, high-energy class! Be introduced to the art of Tang Soo Do Karate, a martial art form with Korean, Japanese and Chinese elements. Students will learn basic martial arts instruction, self defense, blocking and striking skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for standing or support. Chester Theater Arts ProgramThe Chester Theater Arts Program brings music, dance and drama training to children living in the city of Chester. Children perform works they have created twice a year for family and friends.

Suzuki ViolinDarlington offers Suzuki violin instruction to students from low-income communities. Our programs are held at Stetser Elementary School and Chester Charter School for the Arts in the city of Chester, and Chester County Family Academy in West Chester.

Improved Literacy Through Songwriting - School Residency Darlington Teaching Artists partner with Chester County Family Academy to improve their students’ literacy and encourage their creativity. Students enjoy performing their compositions at local venues and for family and friends.
