Animation - In this class students will learn the basics of animation and digital design. Students who enjoy going to various sites to see fun interactive animations will love this course. This class will utilizes Adobe's award winning animation software in Adobe Flash. Students will create fun interactive anima-tions that they can share with the world. Age 10-17

Video Game Design - This course provides students with a fun interactive look at the world of video game design and development. Students enrolled in this camp will learn the basics of video game de-sign and produce several different interactive video games to share with their friends. Age 10-17

*iGame Creator - Want to create video games? This is an introductory course for younger students who want learn to build simple video games. This course combines the art of video game design and anima-tion to create interactive characters that fly around the screen. Amaze your friends and family with your fun interactive games. Age 6-10

Gaming Gals - This is designed for Girls ONLY. This course provides students with a fun interactive look at the world of video game design and development. Students enrolled in this camp will learn the basics of video game design and produce several different interactive video games to share with their friends and family. Age 10-17

Movie Makers - This hands-on, interactive course will instruct students on the world of digital video de-sign and production. Students will film, direct and edit their own digital video creations. Students enrolled in this course amaze their peers with green screen and special effects work. Age 10-17

*iCode - This course offers younger students a fun, interactive look at coding. Students will create virtu-al apps and write their own programs that they can share with friends and family. This course makes learning to code fun and explores problem solving and programming logic. Age 6-10

Web Design - This course is an in-depth look at the world of web design and development. Students enrolled in this session will learn how to build their own web site from start to finish using award winning suite of products. The learning for this camp does not end at the door students will have access to their web site with free hosting for one year. Age 10-17

The Gaming Academy - The gaming academy is an all day course for students who love games. During this course students will be immersed into the world of 2D and 3D game design. The gaming academy is a combination of our Video Game Design, Advanced Game Design and 3D Game Design courses. The course offers students a variety of hands on experience designing and building their very own games. Age 10-17

3D Modeling and Printing: Minecraft Creations - 3D printing and Minecraft both represent boundless

opportunity for creating even our wildest of ideas! Explore the basic concepts of 3D printing and comput-

er aided design, or CAD, to bring your most awesome Minecraft creation to life! Design your own 3D

model in preparation for real 3D printing! At the end of the camp, you will walk away with your own mod-

els using a 3D printing pen, and your own Minecraft 3D model. Age 8-12

Drone Exploration: Fly, Create, Innovate - The landscape is wide open and there is no better time then now to let your imagination run wild. This program will open the creative minds of participants as they learn all about some of the most fascinating drone solutions to date. Teams will first learn about some of the incredible problems drone technology has solved. Age 9-11 AM | 12-14 PM

Drone Search & Rescue - Participants learn to use drones and rely on their rescue team to utilize unique vantage points and combine a multitude of images over specific areas on campus to locate victims and safely rescue them to safety. We use age-appropriate and cutting-edge technology methods available for creating our maps. Age 9-11 AM | 12-14 PM

Drone Building Camp - Participants rely upon one another’s support to work together within a small-team setting to code and fly drones on autonomous missions and free-flight adventures. Teams will design ob-stacle courses and then learn to code the drone to fly, flip, pitch, yaw, and roll with the sole intent of land-ing on specific coordinates. Complete challenges and earn points, which are applied to the highly anticipat-ed end-of-week event: The Ultimate Drobot Games. Age 9-14

All sessions meet Monday - Friday.

NASA: A Journey Into Outer Space - Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space trav-el, and explore the science involved in rocket construction as you build your own Skyblazer II Rocket™! Age 6-12

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) - This program is designed to teach effective leadership skills that can be used throughout your life and how to effectively work with children. The objective of the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is to provide 13 to 15 year olds with the opportunity to be developed into Star-port Camp counselors with the ability to transition into a part-time seasonal position. CITs will be as-signed to a specific group for the duration of a session, and through hands-on experience, will have the opportunity to interact with participants and counselors in the operation of the Starport Summer Camp. Age 13-15 CITS must be:

5 7/5 - 7/7 Unleash Your Inner Artist: Campers will explore different mediums of art to create

their own master piece!

6 7/10 - 7/14 A World Journey: Passports in hand, we will explore different cultures of the world!

7 7/17 - 7/21 What’s Cooking?: Campers will become familiar with fun but simple recipes!

8 7/24 - 7/28 Sports & Fitness Fun: Campers will be more active, increase their energy and have

fun doing it!

9 7/31 - 8/4 Lights, Camera, Action!: The stars shine bright as we embark on a theater adventure!

10 8/7 - 8/11 Splish, Splash, Dash: Beat the heat, get soaked, have a dash & take a splash!

11 8/14 - 8/18 Déjà Vu: Does something seem familiar this week? Campers will re-live some fun

moments we had this summer!

NASA Starport Campers should get ready for a fun filled, adventurous summer! NASA Starport Camps are

designed to offer activities mostly focused on indoor/outdoor games, sports, water activities and arts & crafts

while incorporating fun weekly themes. Age 6-12

Please note that each week will have a different theme. The theme will in no way be the only focus of the

camp activities, but is instead meant as a general direction of some different break-away activities for the

week.

Extended Care - Extended care allows for 7:30a.m. drop-off and 5:30p.m. pick up. Programs with *** indi-

cates extended care is available.

Please note that campers must bring lunch each day. Electronic devices are not allowed during the extended

care portion of camp. Campers will be grouped according to age. Extended care is only available for ages 6-12.
