6. National seminar on “Recent Developments in Concrete Science and Technology” organized by Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, in Association with ICI-KBC and UltraTech Cement Limited on 28-29 Feb 2012.

7. One Day Workshop on “Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures” was organized on Wednesday, 21st Sept 2011 at Department of Civil Engineering, R V College of Engineering, Bangalore.

8. Students’ chapter of ICI with 102 student members opened at JNNCE, Shimoga on 02-11-2011.

9. Indian Concrete Institute –Karnataka Bangalore Centre in association with Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE organized a one-day Seminar on “Sustainable Constructions – A Quest for Alternatives…” on 22-03-2012 Thursday.

4. INAUGURATION OF ICI-BMTPC –TRAINING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR FIELD AND LAB SUPERVISORS IN CONCRETE.

• Inauguration of "TRAINING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR FIELD & LAB SUPERVISORS IN CONCRETE" was held on 17.12. 2011 at lecture hall of M/s Civil-Aid Technoclinic Pvt. Ltd. (A Bureau Veritas Group Company), Bangalore.

• The program was inaugurated with 10 candidates attending the training program and it got increased to 17 numbers with in a span of just 3 days of Inauguration.

• One Day Workshop on “Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures” was organized on Wednesday, 21st Sept 2011 at Department of Civil Engineering, R V College of Engineering, Bangalore. Bharathi Cement Corporation Ltd, Bangalore sponsored the event. Over 100 students of UG and PG and 15 faculty were attended the workshop.

• 17 Th ICI-KBC-Civil Aid (Bureau Veritas) endowment lecture was organized on 9 th April 2012 at B.S.Narayan Seminar hall,BMS College of Engineering,Bangalore .Dr .Bishwajit Bhattacharjee ,Professor of Civil Engineering,Indian institute of Technology,Delhi delivered the endowment lecture on “Understanding concrete microstructure through its micro-structure.

• The lecture was attended by more than 100 people including senior ICI members ,concrete industry professionals and students.
