HORROR TRAILERS

in horror trailers they use:

• Masks and weapons

• Mise en scene such as make up, black clothing and white dresses which connote more terror in the scene.

• Fast pace non diegetic music to make the scene tenser for the audience.

• Lots of cross cuts to unveil the action quickly and encourage the viewer to watch it as they want to see what happens at the end.

• The use of children or children's props to make the scene a lot more creepier.

• Girls are the helpless characters who rely on the male to save them

• The victims normally have a weapon but are still defenceless.

• The use of make up makes the villain look more scarier
