SUK Celebrates Republic Day

Kolhapur, January 26: Shivaji University celebrated the Republic Day with due respect. Dr. Devanand Shinde, Vice Chancellor hoisted the flag in front of the Main administrative building, at 8 am. Along with Vice Chancellor Dr. Shinde, all officers of the University dressed in a traditional national wear with Gandhi Caps were eye catchers of the event. After the flag hoisting Dr. Shinde greeted all the assembled citizens. He paid tributes to the statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Karmaveer Bahurao Patil, Shikshan Maharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe and Dr. Appasaheb Pawar. Dr. V.N. Shinde, acting Registrar, Prin. Dr. D.R. More, Director, BCUD, Shri. Mahesh Kakade, Controller of Examinations, Shri. Ajit Chougule, Finance and Accounts Officer, Dr. D.K. Gaikwad, Director, Students Welfare, Shri. P.T. Gaikwad, Director, Sports along with teachers, administrative staff and students at large were present.
