NON-ROUTINE SERVICES OFFERED BY THE INSTITUTE

The SMRI has a staff of scientists and engineers comprising of university graduates and

diplomates in scientific subjects. This pool of personnel offers various services to the sugar

industry. Some of the non-routine services available on request are outlined in this document

but it is emphasised that the list of potential services is not complete and that general

consulting and short term investigations can be undertaken on a variety of subjects for

individual factories.

SERVICES AND CHARGES

LABORATORY REPORTS

All the data present in the SMRI Weekly and Monthly Summaries of Laboratory Reports

are available from a database at the Institute and specified data can be selectively

retrieved very rapidly. Data from the 1979/1980 to 2016/2017 seasons are available on a

weekly and monthly basis. The SMRI can provide these data in the form of tables or

graphs which can be faxed, saved on CD Rom and posted, or emailed. All data from the

2006/2007 to 2016/2017 seasons are available to registered members on the SMRI

website (www.smri.org) to be downloaded at no charge in Excel or pdf format.
