The Montana Department of Revenue, Liquor Licens-ing announces the avail-ability of one (1) Montana All-Alcoholic Beverages License for the Hill County area. The area includes all of Hill County except the incorporated cities and towns of Havre and Hing-ham and that portion of Hill County situated within five (5) miles of the incor-porated city/town limits.

In the case where more ap-plications are received than there are available licenses a lottery drawing will oc-cur. Any person intend-ing to apply for one of the licenses is required to send a Lottery Application, Form LOTAPP. On this form please state the name of the applicant(s) including all potential owners, corporate stockholders, all partners of a partnership, and all mem-bers of a limited liability company. This application is due to the Department no later than 5:00 PM on the 3rd day of September 2013. Late, unsigned or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Only one (1) Lottery Ap-plication will be accepted per person for this area. A “Person” as defined in the Administrative Rules of Montana is any indi-vidual, firm, partnership, limited liability company, corporation or association.

If a lottery is necessary, the drawing will take place in Helena to determine who has the opportunity to apply for this license. Applicants will be notified of the date, time and place where the drawing will take place. Applicants do not need to be present to be chosen.

Those successful in the lottery drawing will be re-quired to send a License Application within 30 days. The License Application needs to have identical ownership information as to what was provided on the Lottery Application.

All new licensees are re-quired to meet the legal cri-teria of a license as outlined in the Montana Alcoholic Beverage Code and the Administrative Rules of Montana. Application forms may be obtained from our website at revenue.mt.gov.
