Artificial reefs help create an environment for dying biologicial entities underwater. MV G.B. Church - the first ship to be purposefully scuttled for creation of an artificial reef. It was once used as a supply ship in WWII, though now its used as a macro-environment for thousands of species USS Bunker Hill - A tanker ship that unexpectedly exploded in 1964 as it carried thousands of gallons of fuel through Rosario Strait, a busy shipping lane. 5 of the 43 crewmen died. Other Shipwrecks shown on map have had little documentation and were reported from maps dating back to over a hundred years ago. Most likely from ships in the discovery days of Straits.
