Purpose to established ILM Society:All it took was just one person’s hope to eradicate ignorance from our society.He shared his idea with a small group of friends and formed a team. ILM was founded in 2010 with the objective of supporting the education necessities of deprivedchildren in Pakistan. ILM society is the brainchild of Mr. Usman Moon (Late), who not only laidthe first brick of this society but also helped us in getting to where we stand today. He ensured theachievement of our mission statement in true spirits, both implicitly and explicitly.

Usman Moon, along with a group of friends started this journey by supporting the educationneeds of merely a couple of students. Since then, we never looked back. To date, we haveestablished 3 modern schools along with scholarship disbursements to more than 350 deservingstudents over the past 7 years.

Providing quality education in our modern schools, with Oxfordcurriculum, in which we are facilitating more than 400students.

Rewarded scholarships to more than 350 students from remoteand impoverished areas of Karachi since 2010.

Induction of 2 new campuses under ILM school network.

More than 30 of our former students have enrolled for furtherprofessional education including Chartered Accountancy andEngineering since 2012


Why ILM Society

• Scholarships awarded after detail assessment of financial needs and child performance.• Student performance monitored through annual reassessment and family interview before renewing

scholarships.

Scholarships: assessment and monitoring

• Our Zakaat procedures are approved by Da’ar ul Ifta’a Binory Town. More than Rs.12 million of Zakaat has been collected and dibursed for education over last 7 years.

• All Zakaat are strictly applied in accordance with Shariah guidelines and utilized before start of next Ramadan.• We receive non-Zakaat general donations for our mission.

Zakaat approved procedures

• Administrative expenses are borne by trustees, ensuring every rupee of your donations is utilized for education.• Under Own a Student Program donors are provided with yearly student performance report and funds

utilization summary.• Trustees are not entitled to any remuneration. ILM is managed by a team of reputable professionals within

Pakistan and abroad. More than Rs.5 million of donations contributed by only Trustees and Management members.

SINCERITY TO THE CAUSE

• ILM Society collected over Rs. 6 million in 2016 in form of zakat and non zakat donations

Funds collection

• In 2016, our scholarship program alone utilized Rs. 4.5 million, whereas two new schools were established under ILM School Network for the cost of Rs. 2.2 million.

Funds disbursal

• In 2016, Administrative expenses amounted to Rs. 0.9 million, borne entirely by the Trustees, hence ensuring that every penny of YOUR donation is spent exclusively on beneficiary students.
