History of Subway

• In 1965 Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck team up to open their first submarine sandwich shop in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Originally called "Pete's Super Submarines", they sell 312 sandwiches the first day.

• The average cost of a sub was between 49 cents and 69 cents.

•   In 1974 the first franchised SUBWAY® sandwich shop opens in Wallingford, Connecticut.

• The SUBWAY® brand is ranked number one in the sub sandwich category by 'Entrepreneur' magazine, a spot that it has consistently held throughout the years.

Subway of course sells subs and sandwiches but along with that they also sell a variety of salads, chips, drinks, cookies and soda. They also sell personal pizzas. Subway has a wide menu with a lot to shoose from!!!
