Subtitling for TV and Web:
There is about 10% of the population that needs closed captioning for several
reasons such as: being hard of hearing, Old age, don't speak the language spoken
on a program % u 2026 etc. However, a 100% of the population can actually
benefit from it. Just think about it, when a video is shown on TV or via computer
in noisy places such as a bar, a restaurant or an airport, having closed captioning
lets people get your message even though they cannot hear it. Alternatively, maybe
you are watching a video at work or on your Smartphone and you cannot play the
sound; that happens right. Well, that is when closed captioning comes in. it can
make all the difference and make your video a success even if the audio cannot be
heard. Closed captioning is mandatory for TV, videos and internet programs.
Subtitling for hearing impairment:

There are many advantages for providing closed captioning, like giving equal
opportunities for the hearing impaired community. You are helping a huge
community of people with subtitles, especially the baby boomers who have been to
as many concerts as the rest of that and has been dubbed has the iPod generation,
thus getting older and losing their hearing faster because of their excessive
indulgence in hearing loud music.
Captioning is about equal access, as long as you can hear it, so should everyone
else around you, no matter what their physical impairment is.
