Code OUGD301sub1 MODULE SUBMISSON FORM SUBMISSION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY 14 TH DECEMBER – 12 – 1pm RATIONALE Through out the course of the module I hoped to develop a diverse range of branding and identity work with an informed solution to the four chosen briefs. I intended to do this by creating an array of research driven investigations with and informed design solution. During the course of the module I also wanted to develop a range of interface/web-based design as this would help me better understand design for screen for future endeavours, something that I think is increasingly important in the future of graphic design. I expect my dissertation research to also inform my design practice as I have chosen to focus on branding something that I will be focusing on through out the module. Title and Brief Summary – include a short rationale for each brief identifying why you chose it, what was the focus of the brief and how long you spent on it.

BRIEF 1

The original Fast Food Company. At the basis of me choosing this brief was the open nature of it. It gave me the ability to create the concept of for an organic fast food restaurant and the ability to produce a large product range. In total I spent 5 weeks on the brief.

BRIEF 2

The Type Factory I chose this brief as it gave me the ability to explore way finding as well as the possibility to come up with an interesting concept or ethos behind the museum. In total I spent 5 weeks on this brief.

BRIEF 3

Latvian Tourist BoardThis brief gave me the ability to focus on branding which is something I enjoy as well as coming up with a unique concept to promote a country that is little known. This brief I spent 3 weeks on

BRIEF 4

It Nice ThatThis is part of a competition brief which allowed me to explore a interface design something I had not really done to this level before. There is also the potential for real world application due to the competitive nature of the brief. This brief is still on going.
