Preparing to teach Level 2 BTEC Sport New Specification Course Information

This new and informative course will thoroughly prepare delegates to deliver the new BTEC Sport specification. The course will ensure that delegates feel confident to implement the changes and maintain or enhance learner grades in their centre.

Course Information

This is a brand new online twilight CPD course that will equip delegates to support their learners to achieve distinction grade criteria in Level 3 BTEC Sport programmes. This new and informative online twilight CPD course will focus on key apps and programmes that can be used on a ios mobile device (iPad/iPhone) to help generate effective evidence from your learners. The apps will enable your course to be more dynamic and vocationally focused and will ease the pressures on marking written work. Introducing a new online training course for teachers of GCSE PE (This course is suitable for ALL GCSE PE Awarding bodies).

This course will show you how to use a variety of tools, techniques and methods in order to maximise learner engagement and retention of information during the build up to the Summer examinations. Delegates will be shown how to create a 24/7 revision environment for their learners. Deep learning, differentiation and visible progress: Developing GCSE theory grades with students

Course Information

This is a brand new online training course. The online training course will focus on supporting teachers to develop GCSE PE theory grades with their students. The training course will give a brief overview of the depth of content required in order to allow students to answer both short-answer and longer answer questions in the GCSE PE theory examination.

The training course will focus on the main factors that contribute to making an effective GCSE PE theory lesson. This will include..progress, differentiation, shallow to deep learning, AfL, looking to connect content and information and stretching learning at the top end.

Course Content

• Introduce SOLO TAXONOMY as a means to deliver effective GCSE PE theory lessons and the basic components of SOLO TAXONOMY.

• Show, step by step and with examples, how SOLO TAXONOMY helps structure:

• Shallow to deep learning

• Differentiation

• Visible progress

• Assessment for learning

• Formative assessment

• Link to exams and show how short answer question link to Multi-structural and relational answers, and how the scenario ranges from Multi-structural to Extended abstract.

Embedding deep learning in GCSE PE theory lessons

Course Information

This is a brand new online training course. The online training course will focus on supporting teachers to develop GCSE PE theory grades with their students. The course follows the success of "Deep learning, differentiation and visible progress." The training course will give an indepth overview of how SOLO TAXONOMY can be used to allow students to answer both short-answer and longer answer questions in the GCSE PE theory examination (For all GCSE specifications).

The training course will recap on SOLO TAXONOMY, give examples of using SOLO TAXONOMY in lessons and using advanced SOLO

Course Information

This is a brand new online training course, the second of two PE specific sessions focusing on using iPad's in PE. The online training course will focus on supporting teachers to use iPad's when teaching Physical Education in order to become a more effective teacher and to develop student learning. The training course will introduce delegates to more advanced aspects of using an iPad in PE lessons.

The training course will focus on the five iPad apps that are essential for furthering your use of iPads when teaching PE lessons. This course is designed for those that have experience of using Google Apps in PE and Sport lessons or those delegates that took part in the second Google Apps training session. The training is an online twilight CPD session. This session will look in depth at how Google Apps can be a brilliant tool in your PE Department. This session will showcase the more advanced tools of Google Apps and will demonstrate how, and why, teachers can use websites in their lessons to aid learning. This includes combining docs, calendars and message boards to create class learning portals
