Solve simple addition stories using the words “altogether” , “add” , “more” , “plus” , “equals” and “makes”.
Subtraction ( - ) Subtract using pictures, objects and number sentences (where the first number is ten or less) – Eg. 10 – 6 = 4.
Subtract numbers using crossing out, counting back and number bonds.
Solve simple subtraction stories using the words “take away” , “subtract” , “away” , “are left” , “fewer”, “less” , “equals” and “makes”.
