• 540 Km of 1.2m deep trench dug by sheer muscle power • Total earth moved: 254.400m3 • If put in 20ft containers it required 7718 containers • Enough to fill 02 Panamax-Class Container ships
• At peak Huawei had 1.000 to 1.100 labourers. • Ericsson had at peak 500 labourers.

• To be able to complete on time need to fly in technicians and
machines from South Africa
• Ericsson knocked machines down. Airfreighted and re-assembled them in country.
• Huawei local subcontractors imported trenchless machinery from Germany and China to cope
