We fly to thy

O Holy Mother of

glorious and Blessed Virgin.

receiving this

Spiritual Gift.

Please place your

.

Please Note:

As you know, most parishes do not have

Confessions during Christmas week. During

each Christmas Holiday Season, we schedule

additional Confession times. Please take

note of the times and make every attempt to go

to Confession before Christmas.

Do not wait until the last minute!

Join us at the St. Nicholas Party and Pot Luck on Sunday, December 10th

as we celebrate Father Pasley’s Birthday.

Enjoy a slice of birthday cake as we wish our Rector a blessed year!

In the Liturgical Calendar this year, Advent is

not a full four weeks long. Since the Fourth

Sunday of Advent falls on Christmas Eve,

Sunday, December 24th, Advent is actually only

three weeks. Amid the various Holiday activities

of this Christmas season, and all of the hustle and

bustle we inflict upon ourselves, please do not

forget the real meaning of this most Holy Day. Make time to truly celebrate the birth of Our

Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mass Cards for Christmas Deadline

Anyone wishing to request Individual Annouced Mass Cards for 2018 Masses as Christmas gifts must submit the requests in writing to the Rectory Office by Monday, December 11th in order to have the Cards ready before Christmas. The normal stipend for Masses is $15. This is the busiest time of the year and the volume of Mass requests necessitates a cut-off date to allow sufficient time to process the Mass Cards. As always, Mass Cards for Deceased / Funerals are available at the Rectory Office.

20/20 Project - Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why is the 20/20 Project requesting Masses to be said for the campaign?

A. When Masses are requested "For the Protection of the Unborn & Their Families", there is a two-fold benefit. First, of course, is the efficacy of the Mass itself for the pro-life cause. Second, the announcement of this intention -- at the pulpit and in the church bulletin -- serves to evangelize and remind congregations of the sanctity of unborn life, even in churches that don't often provide a strong pro-life message.

So please arrange for Masses in ANY Catholic church, preferably on a weekend (more people to hear the intention), otherwise the next "first available" Mass. Complete the form (in St Martha Rm) indicating where/when Mass will be said, and drop in box provided.

LESSON TWENTY-SEVENTH:

On the Sacramentals

Q. 1086. Say the five glorious mysteries of the

Rosary.

A. The five glorious mysteries of the Rosary

are:

1. The Resurrection of Our Lord;

2. The Ascension of Our Lord;

3. The Coming of the Holy Ghost

upon the Apostles;

4. The Assumption of the Blessed

Virgin -- after death she was taken

body and soul into heaven;

5. The Coronation of the Blessed

Virgin -- on entering heaven she was

made queen of all the Angels and

Saints and placed in dignity next to

her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord.
