Congratulations to all of the finalists in the Study Queensland Agent Pitch Challenge 2018.
The Agent Pitch Challenge aims to harness the unique expertise of our international education agents worldwide, tasking them to create a fresh, new concept for recruiting international students.
Queensland as a destination has so much to offer. International education is one of our most valuable industries and has the capacity to shape our future economy and society.
This is why as Ministerial Champion of International Education, I am delighted to hear the new ideas and innovation uncovered through the Study Queensland Agent Pitch Challenge 2018.
Students have a world of choice. Parents, agents, alumni and peers all have a huge role to play in sharing the benefits of studying in Queensland.
I would like to say a big thank you to all of the agents who have made submissions. And particularly to the five finalists for their commitment to taking Queensland to the world. I hope you have enjoyed taking part in this program and we look forward to seeing your final concepts.
Trade 2018Games Time Trade and Investment Program
The Study Queensland Agent Pitch Challenge is part of The Trade 2018 Games Time Trade and Investment Program.
This program led by the Queensland Government in partnership with the City of Gold Coast (and supported by the Australian Government), leverages the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) to provide a unique opportunity for government and business leaders to meet, build new relationships, strengthen trade and investment ties and explore opportunities across the Commonwealth.
The pinnacle venue for the Program is Commonwealth House. Centrally located on Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach, Commonwealth House will welcome leaders from around the world to share in GC2018 and showcase trade and investment opportunities throughout the Games.
Study Queensland Agent Pitch Challenge
The Study Queensland Agent Pitch Challenge 2018 gives agents the opportunity to pitch their most creative and innovative student recruitment campaign to take Study Queensland to the world. Each campaign will target international students via their most important influencers - their parents.
Study Queensland will provide $15,000 for the winner to implement their concept in their designated market, as well as providing assistance during development and implementation of the winning campaign.

Rob Lawrence is a marketing and communications strategist with 25 years’ experience working across 40 countries. Rob has worked in 38 countries on projects for the Australian Federal Government and all State Governments, 14 peak bodies, over 90 universities and a number of colleges, schools and institutions.
