San Jose, Costa RicaJune 16 – July 15, 2018

Madrid, SpainJune 4 – July 13, 2018*

Experience being a student in the vibrant city of San Jose! This 4-week program will consist of learning about Costa Rican culture in addition to the Spanish language. A myriad of activities will accompany the curriculum including a visit to the Costa Rica National Museum, a walking tour of San Jose, an amazing tour to the famous Café Britt plantation, and lectures from local professors/educators. Courses offered: SPAN 210: Conversation and Composition Spanish I SPAN 211: Conversation and Composition Spanish II

Requirements: Complete course prerequisites if applicable, non-refundable $100 registration fee

Program Fee: $1,985 The program fee includes: Homestay accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, airport transfer, four guided cultural fieldtrips, and onsite orientation.

Not included: A nonrefundable $100 registration fee, San Diego City College tuition, books, roundtrip airfare, personal expenses and optional excursions.

Learn Spanish at one of the most culturally and historically rich cities in the world! This language immersion experience consists of a Monday – Thursday course with planned evening activities. Guided tours and cultural activities in Madrid include visits to the Reina Sofia Museum, the Prado Museum, and the Royal Palace of Madrid. Weekends trips to the historic cities of Toledo and Segovia are included in the program.Courses offered: SPAN 102: Second Course in Spanish, 5 units SPAN 201: Third Course in Spanish, 5 units

Study Abroad with San Diego City and Mesa CollegesEarn college credit abroad. SDCCD Faculty led study abroad programming takes you across borders and into new cities supporting your exploration and learning of new cultures.

You are eligible to study abroad if:

» You are or will be 18 years of age or older by the date of departure» Have completed 12 college-level units with a GPA of 2.0 or higher» Are in good academic standing and making satisfactory progress

(a student conduct review is required)

Program space is limited. Spaces will be allotted on a first-come first-serve basis. Fees and itinerary are subject to change.
