Studio IAAN // was constructed for various artistic con-tents for the purpose of communication between arts and architecture and as a new artistic space to build culture and seek for a network of artists. Studio IAAN should take over the role of the expansion of artistic and cultural exchange by forming a network of architects and artists from Germany and Korea also it should expand the development of a network of Berlin based architects and artists to foster the interrelationship of architecture and arts characteristics. New concepts on art should be presented through regular forums for new behavior of artistic space and the necessity of a change of peoples’ understanding. The concept of Studio IAAN are alternative spaces that break with the standard form of the gap between public and art activities. It should also renovate social relations and expects to create new cultural and art spaces through the vision of architects and artists and the means of theo-retical foundation for display and performance venues and transformation of space.

The IAAN Forum is a communica-tive space for seminars and exhibi-tions that are organized by a network of Berlin based intermedial artists. The IAAN Forum is opened for every artist, who is active in Berlin. Al-though everybody is able to suggest issues for the forum that are possible to be discussed with contemporary artists.

studio IAAN plans a new form of exhibition of alternative spaces through a network of artists from IAAN forum. We hope to break down all current barriers that restrict art with the help of indepen-dent curators and indermedial artists

DIFFERENT NOT DIFFERENT is a program by Studio IAAN that should give juveniles with migrant background or from multi-cultural families the ability to express their selves. For this purpose Studio IAAN requests artists and adolescents to take part in that art- and education project on a voluntary basis.For the project DIFFERENT NOT DIFFERENT each artist builds a team with one juvenile. The team meets regularly two times a month. The project should finish in an exhibition in Studio IAAN. Through that exchange with the artists the youths should get the chance to get to know different methods of communication through art. Therefore not only Visual Arts, but also many other art movementslike Sound-, Video-, Multimedia or Installation Art are provided.But the focus of the project should not be the art itself. It should just be the instrument to help the juveniles to expresstheir selves and give the artists the possibility to build a network and find new inspiration.

IAAN educationThe education programmes should help not only art-ists but anybody who is interested in art to develop and to acquire all necessary elements and knowl-edge.The IAAN Education programmes deliver individu-ally necessary and practical information particulary through quaterly organized specialzed seminars and workshops or through regularly lessons. As an even more plentiful reason IAAN Education tries to build networks through seminars to genres that are not parted by fields or boundaries in art.
