Genesis 3:14•14 And the LORD God said unto

the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Page 3: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:15•15 And I will put enmity

between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Page 4: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:16•16 Unto the woman he said, I will

greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Page 5: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:17• 17 And unto Adam he said, Because

thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;

Page 6: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:18

•18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Page 7: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:19•19 In the sweat of thy face shalt

thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:20

•20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Page 9: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:21

•21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

GOD SAYS “ITS NOT GOOD FOR MAN TO BE ALONE. THIS TRUTH STILL STANDS TODAY.

Page 11: Studies in genesis

GOD SAYS HE WOULD MAKE HIM A HELP MEET. A MAN

CANNOT HAVE TRUE SUCCESS WITH OUT THE

HELP OF A WOMAN.

Page 12: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:19 • 19 19 And out of the ground the

LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.

Page 13: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:20 •20 And Adam gave names

to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an helpmeet for him.

Page 14: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:21 •21 And Adam gave names

to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an helpmeet for him.

Page 15: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:22 •22 And the LORD God said,

Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Page 16: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:23 •23 Therefore the LORD God

sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

Page 17: Studies in genesis

Genesis 3:24 •24 So he drove out the man;

and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Genesis 4:1 •1 And Adam knew Eve his

wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

Page 19: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:2 •2 And she again bare his

brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Page 20: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:3 •3 And in process of time it

came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

Page 21: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:4 •4 And Abel, he also brought

of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

Page 22: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:5 •5 But unto Cain and to his

offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Page 23: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:6 •6 And the LORD said unto

Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Page 24: Studies in genesis

Genesis 4:7 •7 If thou doest well, shalt thou

not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

JEREMIAH 12:4 • 4 How long shall the land mourn,

and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.

ROMANS 8:20•20 For the creature was

made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,

2 corithians 4:4•4 In whom the god of this

world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 john 5:9•9 If we receive the witness of

men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Page 29: Studies in genesis

ST. john 14:30•30 Hereafter I will not talk

much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Page 30: Studies in genesis

* WITHIN THE NAME THAT ADAM GAVE TO EACH ONE OF THE CREATURES ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THAT PARTICULAR ANIMAL OR FOWL;

Page 31: Studies in genesis

so Adam was possessed with amazing intelligence; to do all of this Adam had to have distinct knowledge of speech, the meaning of all words and the capacity of attaching words to ideas.

Page 32: Studies in genesis

* From the very beginning God demonstrates His desire and willingness to allow man to participate in what he is doing. God could have easily named all of the animals, but gave that responsibility to Adam.

Page 33: Studies in genesis

* God cannot and will not do certain things in the earth today with out the participation of a man or woman. God needs us to agree with Him and to allow Him to use us. God is forever searching to find someone on earth to share His work with.

Page 34: Studies in genesis

?

Page 35: Studies in genesis

*The big question is “will you allow Him to work through you?”

Page 36: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:20 •20 And Adam gave names to

all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an helpmeet for him.

Page 37: Studies in genesis

* God allows Adam to see everything , but nothing captured his heart and caused him to desire to dwell with it.

Page 38: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:21 • 21 And the LORD God

caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Page 39: Studies in genesis

• This was the first surgery and God was the surgeon.

* Adam was in a deep sleep. The deep sleep (Hebrew Word Tardemah) was a divine anesthetic administered by the Great Physician.

Page 40: Studies in genesis

* God will also administer a spiritual anesthetic that will allow us to sleep while He performs spiritual surgery on our inner man.

Page 41: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:22 •22 And the rib, which the

LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Page 42: Studies in genesis

• *When God created the animals the Bible says He formed them.

Page 43: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:19• 19 19 And out of the ground the

LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.

Page 44: Studies in genesis

* When God created the woman the Bible says “He made her”. The word made in the Hebrew text means “to build”. God built woman in such a way that she would gain the attention of Adam.

Page 45: Studies in genesis

* This in part would explain why men can be found looking at women the way they do. God, it would seem, placed something in women that can easily attract the eye of a man.

Page 46: Studies in genesis

* Woman was taken not from Adam’s head to dominate him, nor from his feet to be trodden down, but from under his arm to be protected and from near his heart to be loved. She is not an inferior person , she is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.

Page 47: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:23• 23 And Adam said, This [is]

now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Page 48: Studies in genesis

Acts 17:26• 26 And hath made of one blood

all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Page 49: Studies in genesis

* We see here that all the human race is a decedent of Adam. Man gives life to woman; the woman gives life to the world. This is all designed by God Himself. Like it or not we are all related. It is about time we start acting like kin folks. Maybe that is the problem.

Page 50: Studies in genesis

Genesis 24• 24 Therefore shall a man

leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Page 51: Studies in genesis

*This is the first mention of the institution of marriage. God gave marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. They were created perfect for each other.

Page 52: Studies in genesis

* Marriage was instituted by God and has three basic aspects:

Page 53: Studies in genesis

1. Paul wanted the Body of Christ to know our trespasses are all forgiven. God has graciously pardoned and cancelled our debt.

Page 54: Studies in genesis

2. The man and woman are joined together by taking responsibility for each others welfare and by loving the mate above all others.

Page 55: Studies in genesis

3. The two become one flesh in the intimacy and commitment of sexual union that is reserved for marriage only. A strong marriage must include all three of these aspects.

Page 56: Studies in genesis

Genesis 2:25 • 25 And they were both

naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Page 57: Studies in genesis

* Have you noticed how a little child can run naked through a room full of strangers without embarrassment? He is not aware of his nakedness,

Page 58: Studies in genesis

just as Adam and Eve were not embarrassed. All of this changes, however, after the fall into sin.
