Kazakhstan population consists from 131 nationalities and it was the last republic

to separate from Soviet Union. 63 percentage of population consists from

Kazaks while others are Russians, Ukrainians and etc.

Many Kazakh students speak Russian language and tied to Russian culture.

When they come to Cyprus, these students seem interesting cause they can

INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO RELEVANT

GROUPSCypriot people are very hospitable and like sharing their traditions with other cultures. surrounding Mediterranean countries.

For Turkish Cypriots, family life is essential, they spend huge part of their time with gatherings , family barbeques and picnics. The influence of the family on Turkish Cypriots is very strong. Despite there were many social changes in Northern Cyprus recently, family bases are still very important

place for people. In North Cyprus community, family comes first. For example, still need approval of the family members. Approval for marriage is given

when parents have researched education and social status of future relative.

Students interaction passes actively. There are plenty of small Turkısh bars where they play lıve musıc. Usually all customers tent to sing along with

performer. Normally these performances happen at the end of the week but some bars are open every day.  According to small research, majority of Kazakh

students like Turkish music. As it seems most of them tent to learn language out of the songs they hear. Cypriot culture has its own expressions that only

Cypriots use. For example napan be gardas? Durumcuklar? Cypriot food is very popular between Kazakh students.  , one  of  the most important products in  Cyprus that  passed from the Arabs to the Greeks, and from the Greeks to the

Turks. Arab people call this  cheese  hallum, and the Greeks, haloumi.

GROUPS

Hellim can be prepared from goat or sheep milk.  The best is the one made from goat’s milk. Sheep’s milk also makes very good  hellim . Cow’s milk hellim  doesn’t stay good more than two months, but goat or sheep’s milk  hellim can be stored for over a year in its own liquid, and is more flavorful than that made from cow’s milk.

soviet republics and their interaction in EMU.• Other research can be conducted in terms of other universities on

Cyprus for example in Girne American University or Lefkosha Universities.

• Future research can be conducted in other countries and be compared with results of this research.
